Sleep tools built on circadian science
CircadianIQ helps you plan when to sleep, not just how long, with free calculators and plain-English guides.
Our mission
Most sleep advice focuses on hours. Your body runs on timing. CircadianIQ turns published sleep science (sleep cycles, chronotypes, caffeine half-life, light and melatonin timing) into simple tools that help you choose better bedtimes, wake times and routines.
Who runs CircadianIQ
M Javed Iqbal: Founder & Editor
CircadianIQ is owned and run by M Javed Iqbal, based in Pakistan. He started CircadianIQ as an independent project to make sleep-timing science practical and free for everyone. He is not a doctor, and CircadianIQ does not claim medical credentials.
Our content is not reviewed by a clinician. Instead, every guide and calculator is researched from peer-reviewed studies and recognised health-organisation guidance, and we cite our sources.

How we create content
- We base our tools on peer-reviewed research and widely used clinical guidance, such as typical 90-minute sleep cycles and caffeine’s average half-life.
- Calculators give estimates for healthy adults. Results vary from person to person.
- Each calculator uses a published method (for example, ~90-minute sleep cycles, an average 5-hour caffeine half-life, and light/melatonin timing research). The method and its limits are explained on each tool’s page.
- Calculators run entirely in your browser. What you enter is not sent to us or stored.
- We update pages when new evidence appears or when readers report errors.
Editorial policy
- We write for clarity and accuracy, not hype, and we do not make treatment claims.
- We cite peer-reviewed research and reputable health organisations, and prefer recent, high-quality evidence.
- Advertising and affiliate partners have no influence on what we write or recommend.
- No content on this site is reviewed by a clinician. Always talk to a qualified health professional about sleep problems.
